We have a new Grain Storm beer launching next week and it’s an anti-AI beer called ‘I’m not a robot’. This is where the battle begins, and with beer on our side, we will win!
My first idea was actually to create a totally AI designed beer, AI recipe, name, pump clip etc etc. ‘What a clever idea!’ I thought, then after a quick google realised I was way behind the curve, and producing the 14th AI beer didn’t sound so impressive, and despite Becks’ claims earlier in the year, IntelligentX created an AI-generated beer back in 2016. Those sneaky little bots got in there early under the radar. So I didn’t do that.
Why give credit to artificial intelligence when the little genuine intelligence I have could do with all the credit it can get.
So instead, we have created the world’s first anti-AI beer. It is brewed by humans, for humans, and we worked it all out on scraps of paper to stop any robot intervention during its inception. We even turned our phones off when brewing it, just in case ear-wiggy Siri or nosy Alexa where snooping on the goings-on.
‘I’m not a robot’ is a gentle, analogue, vulnerable, grumpy-on-a-monday and probably flawed kind of beer. At 3.7%, golden in colour and with delicate aromas of passionfruit and coconut it is perfect for quenching our thirst over the summer, and preparing us for the inevitable battle to save humanity from those frustratingly chirpy chat bots and uncaringly logical algorithms.
Assuming the brewery survives the weekend, it will be available from Monday 10 July.

To safeguard my future against total and utter annihilation from viral nanobots, please note that I actually quite like robots (the cute ones anyway), and would never really do anything to harm one, like pouring beer into its cogs, or short-circuiting its mind with an IPA. Just covering my bases.
