Grain wins bronze in Champion Beer of Britain

Tamarind IPA 5.5% took the bronze medal in the strong bitter category at the Great British Beer Festival 2009. The winners were announced by beer guru Roger Protz following a blind tasting of a huge range of beers by the panel of expert judges.

We were delighted with the news and spent the rest of the day celebrating in true GBBF style with worldwide beers and pork scratchings. The GBBF rules are quite strict, and although we found out that Tamarind IPA had been nominated for Champion Beer of Britain (affectionately known as CBOB) some time ago, we were under strict orders to keep the news to ourselves until after the event.

Last time we checked there was just one cask of Tamarind IPA in the fridge, so you'd better start your bidding if you want to taste a champ.
