Redwood is voted Overall Winner of the SIBA East of England beer competition 2011
22 September 2011
Wow - we did really well at the SIBA East competition. Not only did we scoop the top award for Redwood as the overall champ, but Blackwood Stout, India Pale Ale, and Blonde Ash also won places in each of their categorories. As you can guess we're chuffed to bits.

For those who don't know, SIBA are the Society of Independent Brewers' Association (I don't know what the 'Association' bit is for either), and they know their stuff. The beers were judged blind by 55 judges, all from the brewing industry, so we really are pleased to have done so well. Redwood automatically goes through to the national competition next February, and you'll be able to try it at the SIBA bar at GBBF 2012. It's a good job we decided not to stop brewing it at the end of the summer after all
