We have a name for our new beer!
We are delighted to announce that 'Tamarind IPA' will be in pubs around Norfolk and Suffolk from the end of April onwards. So if you didn't get a chance to try this excellent strong and hoppy beer earlier in the year, there'll be plenty more opportunities now!

The name Tamarind IPA was the inspiration of John Redford of Great Hockham whilst enjoying a pint in the Angel Inn, Larling. The tamarind tree is an aromatic and ornamental tree in India with its fruit featuring in many Indian dishes (tamarind sauce is the sweet red sauce you sometimes get with your popadums). We liked the name because it associates itself both with Grain and India. |
John was pleased when we called him up and told him the good news, and is looking forward to coming to the brewery to brew with us for a day some time in May.
There were lots of names we liked, and we're sorry if you thought up a good one but didn't win the prize. So to make up for it, we'll be choosing a few runners up over the next few weeks - hope to be contacting you soon. |
And here are a handful of our favourite ideas that people came up with. Although they're not winners this time, they are definitely worth a mention...
